Mahaveer University, Meerut, recently hosted a thought-provoking seminar on the topic “One Nation One Election,” featuring prominent political figures and attended by students, faculty members, and academic leaders.

Dr. Chandramohan, BJP State Minister, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the significance of conducting simultaneous elections across the country. He described the initiative as a vital reform to strengthen democratic processes and enhance administrative efficiency. Addressing the audience, Dr. Chandramohan underscored the need for public awareness and a mass movement to support the concept, stating that it would result in substantial savings of national resources and ensure continuity in governance and policy-making.

Adding to the discourse, Shri Dharmendra Bhardwaj, Member of the Legislative Council, shed light on the economic and administrative benefits of implementing the “One Nation One Election” model. He pointed out that frequent elections not only place a heavy financial burden on the country but also disrupt long-term policy execution and governance stability.
