With hearts full of pride and minds full of dreams, Mahaveer University, Meerut, celebrated Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervor, enthusiasm, and unity. The campus was beautifully decorated with tricolour flags, banners, and rangolis, creating an atmosphere filled with the spirit of freedom.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag and the gathering resonated with the soulful voices of everyone singing the National Anthem, instilling a deep sense of patriotism and respect for the nation.

In his address, the Chancellor highlighted the significance of Independence Day and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters to achieve India’s independence. He urged students to become responsible citizens and contribute towards building a strong and self-reliant nation.

The programme included a series of cultural performances that showcased India’s unity in diversity. Students presented patriotic songs, energetic dance performances, and skits based on the lives of great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. These performances not only entertained the audience but also inspired them to reflect on the values of freedom, equality, and justice.

Faculty members also expressed their thoughts on the importance of freedom, progress, and the role of education in nation-building. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Registrar, followed by the distribution of sweets among all present, symbolizing the sweetness of freedom and unity.

The Independence Day celebrations at Mahaveer University were not just an occasion of joy but also a reminder of our duties towards the nation. With renewed zeal and determination, the entire Mahaveer family pledged to uphold the values of democracy, peace, and progress.
